Shell aportará 5 millones de dólares en ayuda humanitaria para Venezuela
Shell expresa su más profunda solidaridad con todas las personas afectadas por los devastadores terremotos ocurridos esta semana en Venezuela.
Nuestros pensamientos están con las familias y comunidades que han sufrido pérdidas y han sido afectadas, incluidos nuestros empleados, contratistas y socios en el país, así como con los equipos de emergencia que continúan trabajando incansablemente en las zonas impactadas.
Ante las urgentes necesidades humanitarias, Shell ha comprometido 5 millones de dólares para apoyar las labores de respuesta y recuperación.
La contribución se canalizará a través del Programa Mundial de Alimentos (WFP por sus siglas en inglés) y organizaciones humanitarias locales. Los fondos se destinarán a áreas críticas como la asistencia alimentaria de emergencia, el acceso a suministros esenciales y el apoyo inmediato a las comunidades más vulnerables.
"Estamos profundamente consternados por el impacto de estos terremotos en el pueblo venezolano", afirmó Adam Lowmass, Presidente de Shell Venezuela. "Nuestra prioridad es apoyar a las personas afectadas, y estamos colaborando con organizaciones humanitarias para llevar ayuda urgente donde más se necesita. Nos sentimos honrados de poder acompañar a Venezuela en este difícil proceso de recuperación."
Shell to provide $5 million in disaster relief funding for Venezuela
Shell expresses its deepest sympathy to all those affected by the devastating earthquakes that struck Venezuela this week. Our thoughts are with the families and communities who have suffered loss, injury, and displacement, including our employees, contractors, and partners in the country, as well as with the emergency responders working tirelessly on the ground.
Recognizing the urgent humanitarian needs, Shell has committed $5 million in disaster relief funding to support response and recovery efforts.
The contribution will be delivered through the World Food Programme (WFP) and selected local humanitarian partners. Funding will support critical areas such as emergency food support, access to essential supplies, and immediate relief for vulnerable communities.
